Polo Club of Boca Raton Celebrates the Induction of Tennis Pro Mario Valle in the Palm Beach Open Hall of Fame

Mario Valle is the esteemed Head Tennis Professional at The Polo Club of Boca Raton, and the Club is proud to announce his induction. The Club considers this accolade a testament to hard work and tireless contribution to promote the sport in Palm Beach County. This award is to celebrate his career both on and off the court.

The long tenure of Valle's career is a legacy of passion, achievements, and professionalism. To highlight his pathway to tennis, let us start from the beginning. Mario Valle started tennis in Vina Del Mar, Chile, which led him to the United States in 1973. He began with a full scholarship at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. At the university, he excelled in Division 1 NCAA singles and doubles, won the Ohio Valley Conference in 1975, and studied Physical Education.

Before beginning his career at The Polo Club, Mario Valle dedicated 21 full years at the Racquet Club at West Hampton to enhance the tennis program there. He also contributed to the PBO Tennis League for over a decade to foster his success and to project a positive image of the community.

Mario has led a multifaced role at the Polo Club, where he coached members and their families and started Palm Beach Senior Leagues with the former Director of Tennis & Pickleball, Jean Mills (retd), in 1991/92.

Beginning with a handful of teams, Mario grew the league into 7 men's teams that have claimed numerous awards over the years. Besides coaching, he also looks after the tennis and pickleball facilities to maintain and meet standards.

Mario has also mentored many tennis professionals and has become a key figure in promoting the sport at the Club. His collaboration with Jean Mills introduced many prestigious tournaments, such as Girls National 12 and Under and Andy Roddick Tennis Foundation, to elevate the Club's name among the tennis community.

Besides the court, Mario is a family man and lives a fulfilling life with his children, grandchildren, and his beloved Shih Tzus, Luca & Luna. His dedication to his family is perfectly reflected in every career phase.

Mario Valle is honored by the Palm Beach Open Hall of Fame for his contributions and efforts to bring tennis to the limelight.
