BOCA RATON, (Fla). December 10, 2024 – A well-known tennis magazine, "Florida Tennis," published an article recently focusing on "MNO Tennis," an organization dedicated to launching the careers of new players in completing its 2-week fall tournament in South Florida. MNO, short for "Miss No Opportunity," has three dates scheduled on the IFT Tour, including a W35 tournament in April, an M15 tournament at the Mission Bay Tennis Center in November, and a W50 tournament hosted by The Polo Club of Boca Raton. November was the month when The Polo Club of Boca Raton hosted the W50 tournament. The field featured an impressive lineup of top seed Carlota Martinez Cirez, local next-gen platers Akasha Urhobo and Mayu Crossley (Evert Academy), and Olympian and former world no 24 Christina McHale. McHale has come out of retirement after 27 months to compete in the tournament's single and double play. Local player Mayu Crossley reached the semi-finals. This is the first time The Polo Club of Boca Raton has hosted a professional tennis tournament. The Club is itself a premium club of America and has offered players the opportunity to compete on six of their 21 manicured hard-tru courts. Four of these courts were streamed on ITFT Tennis, with the line persons and chair umpires officiating each court. The tournament received positive success from its sponsors, which included Davenport & Company LLC, Daisy, Baank, Coolibar, Clarins, and Waterdrop. The 2024 lineup of MNO Tennis includes the M15 Tennis Series with players Stefan Dostanic (singles) and Santigo Villaruel/Jeremias Rocco (doubles). For the W50 Tennis Series, Whitney Osuigwe lifted her first ITF W50 of 2024, the third in her career. For doubles, Alicia Herrero Linana/Anna Rogers won the competition.
