As the summer comes to an end and the air starts to cool down, it’s time to welcome a new season at The Polo Club of Boca Raton. We are excited to bring two fun holiday themed golf events that will keep our Members engaged and entertained. Our golf department has been busy planning these events that promise to be enjoyable for golfer members, golf renters and golf trial members.

Whether you are an experienced player or just looking to have some fun with friends, these events are designed to bring back Members to the club with a little competition but most important, a lot of fun. These events will also take us down memory lane when costumes and golf cart decorating was part of the excitement of the day! We believe that the joy of golf is not just about the game itself, but also about the friendships and memories we make along the way.

So, dust off your clubs and get ready to join us for some exciting days on the premiere golf course in Boca Raton. We can't wait to see everyone come together for a little friendly competition, laughter, costumes, and great times. Let’s go into the details of some upcoming golf events:

Pumpkins and Pars
The Pumpkins and Pars event, on Sunday, October 20, 2024, was a day golf featuring a thrilling 18-hole division with a 12:30 PM shotgun start, followed by a 9-hole division at 2:30 PM. Participants enjoyed their golf play equipped with Top Tracer, followed by a reception at the Crown Room.

• Format: Step-Aside Scramble
• Max Field: 72 players
• Team Composition: 18 groups of 4 players

The format of this event went as follows: In a step-aside scramble format, each team Member hits their tee shot, and the best shot is chosen. From there, everyone plays their next shot from that spot. After the second shot, the same process repeats. However, if a player’s shot is selected, that player must step aside and not play the next shot.

This creates a fun and inclusive environment, allowing everyone to contribute while maintaining a fast pace of play.
In the spirit of the season, prizes for the best-decorated golf cart and the best costume are always a highlight of the day!

Turkey and Tees
The excitement continues with our second holiday themed golf event, Turkey and Tees, scheduled for Sunday, November 17, 2024. Golfers will once again enjoy a 12:30 PM shotgun start for the 18-hole division, with a 9-hole division at 2:30 PM. A fun reception will follow in the Crown Room.

These events are not only a fantastic way to enjoy the beautiful cool weather, what we sometimes like to call Florida fall, but also a wonderful opportunity for our Members to connect and create lasting memories.
